spink 5″ britannia drawing mistake?

please can anyone who has built spink britannia please tell me correct thickness of mild steel for front guard irons as on my drawing it shows as 7/32 thick which to me seems too thick material for these, i am fairly new to model engineering and have aquired this part started chassis, thanks in advance,DAVID
