any one know where i can get two 36mm ID x 5mm section nitrile o rings cheaper than £7 / 8 online ?

Seeing as they cost a few p each i don’t want to give my money to a o ring bandit.

Nitrile rings cost more than just a few pence will check in workshop today
and see what I have. If not will look through my records as bought some at a reasonable price some time ago.
Could you let us all know what you are building.

Don’t know if they are suitable but Aldi’s Thursday offers today includes a box of assorted O rings at £5.99 for 420 in 32 sizes.

The Aldi offer sounds unbeatable especially if they are nitrile but if you are nearer a Screwfix branch check out product ref: 16982, 550 rubber rings for £20.10

Before the earthquakes here (10,000 and counting), I used to make steel moulds for making rubber automotive parts (war time Willys Jeeps), from that I would say its fairly easy to make the moulds, its finding the firm with the raw rubber, and the vulcanising gear. The firm I used had fairly primative gear. I don’t know the status of the company at the moment, but theres $NZ5/6000 worth of moulds of mine there at the moment, I’ll proberbly never see them again. Specialist hydraulics or O ring supplier that im afraid.
                        Where are you?

                        I have two proper BS 221 which roughly equates to 36ID X 43.5 O/D x 3.53 cross section.
The boxed sets will only be less than 2.92mm cross section for that 36mm ish I/D also marked 221 so some things wrong.

Is it something you are building in which case can change the design or to replace an existing O ring?

Have a look in yellow pages for a supplier local, some will do cash and not have to have minimum order usually £15 and £5 worth of same item.
