Is it worth using silver solder paste or does it work out too expensive

Is it still available? I thought it was only made in the Easyflow range which had cadmium in it. Can't see anything listed now on Cup alloys or Reeves the only stuff on google is jewelry silver solder paste.

But yes its expensive so best kept for small joints and it may have had a shelf life.

If you want to apply small amounts beat it out with a hammer and cut with tin snips.

Well spotted Fil, I was going by the pictures so didn't see it as they have the foil pic not the syringe.

The jewelers' supply firm Cookson Gold list 30gm syringes of silver solder paste in three different melting points. The cost just under thirty pounds per syringe. It is an excellant way of getting the solder just where you want it, and have confidence that the solder has fully penetrayed the joint.
