      Require 2 hardened steel spur gears either 20DP x 65 tooth or 1.25MOD x 65 tooth.

Have found a site that has them made from EN8 but not hardened.

They have to run between 6000rpm to 7000rpm and will need to withstand a shock loading from a rather violent timed cam they are driving so no cush drive.

What would be the recommended hardened steel for this type of application.

Where can I purchase them from I noticed on one site DP gears are dearer than MOD gears.

      Any advice welcomed.

          Hello Paul,

You could try HPC in Chesterfield, I have a feeling they can supply hardened gears. They might be expensive.
