Get a 6mm bolt, preferably not zinc plated, saw lengthways, weld onto handle, grind and polish.

Or source a set of HSS die head cutters and silver solder one to the end of a piece of steel. This will cut and "chase" at the same time, handy for cutting other diameters with a 1mm pitch.

It may not look it in the photo but the end is square to the shank.

1.0mm full form insert will cut and do the rounding in one setup.

Ray I have a lot of thread chasers that I aquired of various pitches,if I have a 1mm pitch you can have one.I will look tomorrow and inform you if I have one.I have used them with all but one of the teeth ground off for thread cutting ,it saves grinding a tool to shape and is bound to be right.
