Hopefully that's of use. I'll upload any others that have incorrect dimensions later.

        That's great Andy,

I'll link to this thread when I print the corrections as your drawings will be a big help.

I have scanned those from the original magazine, which needed tidying up a bit as even the type there wasn't the best, I have put them in this album Nick's No2

          Regards Nick.

Might you be persuaded to host PDF versions of Andy’s excellent drawings ?

… the need for him to post jpg versions seems a little counter-productive.

PDF files are less secure than JPG files. They can contain Java script for example. People who want anything other than JPG files would probably need to PM the originator, keep the forum as safe as possible.

I can post pdf files, but it is a bit involved to do so.

To be honest, it will be a good thing if we are able to host them more simply in future.

I've downloaded thousands of pdfs and not had any security issues (yet). It's even possible for a jpeg to have an executable virus hidden in it so sensible security settings are the best solution.

The dimension on base in Andy Rodgers drawing shown as 0.413 is definitely shown as 0.419 in original drawing exploded which I have a copy of. Only 6 thou difference but do we know which is correct?

I've had some fun making one of these.

Currently making a small pot boiler and will be using some 3/16" pipe to couple the hand pump to the clack valve.

So I decided to have a go at making one.

I drilled the baseplate with all the holes but so far have only made formers etc. for 3/16" pipe.

Like I said it's been fun, enjoyed making it, came together well.

No pipe at the moment need to order some.

                                                  Anyone else "havin a go"

Is there any advantage in spacing the formers off from the base plate?

Well I have to say I was puzzled as to why there is a spacer under the fixed former.

The "rolling former" has no spacer and is therefore only aligned with the fixed one when there is pipe in between them. In my photo in previous post a piece of silver steel is aligning the two formers.

i can only assume that the rolling former needs to self align and perhaps that is why there is a spacer under the fixed roller to give some clearance?

                                                      just my thoughts
