Bought an old heavy duty engineers vice with a swivel base from our annual village auction recently. Its been in a greasy environment so is in good order. Jaws are 6" wide and it is to much to lift on my own. It has a swivelling base and the makers name is WILTON – GLISENTI of Milano, Italia.

Google for once is virtually ignorant of this manufacturer although WILTON, an American company that makes vices comes up often.

I am sure there is a connection somewhere so I tried to contact WILTON to ask but their website will not allow queries.

I really would love to know a little more of the company history mainly so I can get an idea of how old this lump of iron is.
