Hello,

Just registered here.

I’m a draftsman by trade, and am following evening classes for turning and milling.

As a hobby I use my machines to make usefull additions for… my machines.

 

I currently own :

Emco Compact 5 lathe / mill combination

Emco Unimat SL lathe / mill combination

Ender 3 V2 3D-printer

Welcome. Are the CAD renders your own work? There are some on here who are good at CAD and some for whom it is an alien planet.
Have you found the long and informative thread on here about the EMCO?
Lots of additions for the Unimat were serialised in the Model Engineer Magazine about 40 years ago if you can find them.

The drawings are my own yes, I took the time to measure each part and draw them out (almost anyway, the C5 isn’t finished yet). It will help me in designing attachments / accessories.

I found Graham Meek’s thread on his modifications, which are inspiring. One of my goals is to reverse engineer and understand (and hopefully one day, make) his screw cutting clutch.

Will subscribe to the magazine as well, and maybe try to find some older issues. Thanks for the info!

I have wandered about in Belgium years ago on a motorcycle trip, ending up on the road east from Ternuezen,  to stop for my packed lunch in the parking place where the old ferry port used to be before the tunnel was built.
