Live steam fittings

Hi chaps, I'm in the process of finishing my glr vertical boiler and want to use it to power some small stationary engines ( stuart s50 , Tina etc). However the the range of sizes of fittings is making my head hurt….. So I think the question is what size steam pipe do I need to use?

use 5/16 x 32 tpi fitting with 3/16 pipe – remember to lag them if you can. Fot the exhaust use 3/8 x 32 tpi with 1/4 tube. This is not set in stone but it will work well and look right.

Thanks mr fizzy , that's all the info I needed. I'm a metric peep so help with the imperial stuff really helps

Hi Dunc, I know from other other posts that you are a bit ahead of me with your boiler so wondered what test pressure you used or plan to use.

i too was metric…but if u do this long enough u realise that imperial is much more versitile…in my opinion
