This was my first project finished in the summer. Pair of sprung Oleos for a 72” P51 Mustang. The dogleg was from a old broken set.

Do you have a scale to indicate the size?
At a guess a 72" wingspan it is likely to be around 1/4 full size. So the spring Oleos will probably be around 3/4" dia

The Oleos were not made to scale as the mustang was a artf. (Almost ready to fly) so not a true scale plane.
The diameter of the main strut was 12mm overall length was 159mm
Very nice indeed. Nice to see something aircraft related.
