I've bought a diamond grinding wheel dresser intending it to dress a diamond wheel but now I'm not sure.

Is a diamond wheel dresser made from diamond and is intended to dress stone grinding wheels or is it intended to dress diamond wheels?

Brian, a diamond dresser is used for re-surfacing a "normal" carborundum Aluminium Oxide wheel a bit non-intuative but dressing sticks made from silicon carbide or alumina oxide (soft bond) are usually used for dressing diamond tools. More info ***HERE***

I have seen a diamond wheel dresser which was a rotary wheel dresser. **LINK**

We used it to dress the wheel true on a surface grinder before we ground tungsten carbide parts.
