I didn't know or had forgotten about the sub-contracting culture; perhaps I didn't pay sufficient attention when visiting Greenwich to see the wonderful Harrison movements some years ago.

I recently learned that a remote ancestor built the clock in the tower of Gottorp (Gottorf) castle in Schleswig.
