ME4665 21st May 2021 brings us the sad news of David's death. I first met David at the old A.J.Reeves during an Open Day at Marston Green. I found him quiet but willing to talk on matters of common interest. We used to meet from time to time at the various ME Exhibitions and continued the chat on may items.

As Geoff Stait and Chris Deith say in the Obituary on page 701we all owe him a great deal for his work in promoting this ME hobby of ours.

      RIP David.

I was fortunate to meet David and Mary at their home in Birmingham, and see his workshop just before he was breaking it up.

He was a lovely man with some great stories.

Some Reeves designs were his, but many went under the 'house' brand. His magnum opus was Washington, a finely detailed American 4-4-0.

As he was also an MEW contributor, I will be running the obituary in MEW.

          Neil
