Hi
Another question that may seem a bit daft to some but having just done it I now need to know if it's 'acceptable' practice.
I was boring a hole about 50 MM in a piece of aluminium with a boring head and a cutting tool with an insert. After I had finished cutting the hole to the correct size I thought how much simpler it would be to just wind the cutting tool out a big more and then Just lightly fly cut the top surface ( the flat surface looked like it had been drawn so needed a 'tickle'. Happy with the surface finish. ( it's for a motorcycle fork brace as it happens)
Is this an acceptable short cut or do I need to be sent to the naughty step for miss using my tools. I await all your words of wisdom.
