Oh – Cutwell, Chronos (RDG again?) and Rotagrip…

There’s more but can’t think of them offhand…

Just thinking about Rotagrip – I’ve only used them a few times but they have been very good (an excellent granite surface plate for instance) when I have purchased from them…

I also normally use ARC but checking Rotagrip’s website just now..

“Rotagrip was formed in 1977. We are the UK’s largest stockist of lathe chucks and spares, and our product range includes all types of accessories for lathes, milling machines, grinders and a comprehensive range of new and used measuring equipment”

A little bit more expensive than others perhaps but their R8-ER32 chucks do at least have spanner flats on them!

              (Sorry Jason – I couldn’t resist it  🙂  )

              Regards,

No problem. I have flats on the ER32 and 16 that I use in the X3 as that does not have an easy way to lock the MT3 spindle. Just buy what the machine needs and if you get the wrong one don’t blame the supplier for selling “Not fit for your purpose”. I couldn’t either😉

APT, MSC and Gloster are a couple more I’ve used. Cromwell and Zoro worth a look.

Though their more expensive name brand ones don’t 😋
