I’m trying to produce a full set of drawings for the IC engine I’m designing  & building,

Just on the off chance it works.

I really needed Auxiliary drawing views to dimension some of the features, up until the other day I was using the cross section function line , parallel to the face of the view I wanted to create a sort of Auxiliary view for dimensioning.

I came across an Alibre tutorial by Joseph, where he placed the cross section line outside of the standard model view, again parallel to the face of the view wanted, an Auxiliary view was generated.

A great work around for a feature not available in Atom.

If you knew of this work around,  I’m sorry to have wasted your time,  if not I hope it’s of some help.

The other easy way to do it is to just add another “standard View” by going to “sheets & Views” then clicking standard and picking the part and elevation you want. Bonus is you can set a different scale if page room is tight and do as many as you want. It is just like putting more than one part on a drawing sheet except you just keep choosing the same part

Should work in Atom, I use it in Pro. I also have auxiliary view but not sure if Atom has that which gives views of angled faces etc. If it is a vie wof an angled face then you can also put the part into a new assembly and constrain th eface to one of the three main planes and then use that for your drawings as the angled face will now be square on.

          Thank you Jason.

The work around I tried to describe allows you to create auxiliary views of angled faces in Atom, a function thats  otherwise unavailable  in Atom.
