accessing the Myford website

Hi Chaps

Is anyone else having issues accessing the Myford website. I get security warnings in Firefox 48.0.2. Could we perhaps get a straw poll of browsers please.

just had a go, it's not a site I use these days. No problems in IE, Norton happy with it, also Malware security.

Martin just logged in using internet explorer and chrome no problems with Kaspersky security

No problem using Firefox 50.0 on Ubuntu 17.04.

May not be a local problem.

Firefox in the latest editions are trying to get everything done under the https:// protocol, and any pages with a mix of http:// & https:// or only http:// seem to trigger a security warning. It happens with the most innocuous sites (a forum on cross stitch – I ask you!?!) as well as popular/vulnerable ones.

Hi Guys

My name is Martin Starkie and I work for Myford on the dedicated server system admin team. In the first instance I would recommend updating your version for Firefox from 48 to a later version as there were known security issues with this version which have been fixed in 49 and above. I believe the current version is 52 and it always advisable to run the latest version to include and make use of the latest security and performance updates and patches.

We have a publicly available 3rd party security audit of the SSL in place which is available for all to see here –

So all is now working. Upgraded OSX to 10.11.6 which is as far as I can go with the current hardware and then was able to upgrade to Firefox 52.1.1.

Next stop new Mac.

Thanks to all for responses particularly to Martin Starkie at Myford especially as it wasn't at all their fault.

You may well be Russell but 52.1.1 is the latest I can go to with the operating system.

Don't care it all works now.
