Does this means antecedants are now predators?

Always were, Neil; specifically apex predators of the ursine variety, namely forebears.

Typical inflation – in my day Goldilocks only met three bears!

One bugbear (or is that bug-bear?) of mine is the word "predate". Having read widely in ecology in my youth I got very used to understanding the word "predate" to mean to "prey on". "Pre-date" was the other word. Now, they're both "predate". …

Reminded me that Churchill claimed disappointment after reading a paper entitled 'Sex Lives of the Primates'. It wasn't about Archbishops.

In my Airforce days, A notice went up on the flight notice board about coming sporting event, headed "Intercourse Competition", maybe should have been "Inter – Course Competition", a series of sporting events between first and second year trainees. The notice was still remembered at our 50 year reunion in 2014.

One day walking down Manchester St in pre quake Christchurch I looked up at a shop sign, and at first glance it read Children swear, it was just the angle at the time, and as I got closer it resolved as Childrens Wear.
