      Hi all.

I was perusing the online purveyors of boys toys this morning and saw this little novelty item…

Screenshot_20241212_093959_Samsung Internetit’s a rolling ruler,  one revolution is 10cm and is marked by a click. Count the clicks, multiply by ten and add the scale reading to give the total length. Great for curved surfaces and many other measuring challenges!

        That looks rather tidy

Do they offer a 100mm one for Engineers and Scientists ?

Where can I find one? I’m sure my wife would find one of those useful in her sewing room

Google Heinnie Haynes, that’s the website.

Be prepared though, it has a premium price tag.

              Imperial measure is also available.

A bit of a take on the old OS map roller ruler. Give it a new look and stitch a few people up.

I did wonder who would have a bash at making one.

Yep there is nowt new undert’ sun as my grandad would have said, it’s a map measurer without the gearing.

Obviously it also requires use of the Organic computation device installed in most folks heads. I know quite a few young people who simply could not do the maths involved.
