The guy shows how to make a copy of a Wilton baby bullet vice in a series of videos. His vice is stunning and he has put his drawings online for people to download.

i downloaded the drawings and decided to see if I could make a vice as good as his . The vice is made from mild steel block and round bar milled to shape and then tig welded together. All the welds were dressed using rifler files and the entire thing hand polished with files and fine emery cloth. No power buffers were used it’s all hand work. The enter screw thread is 3/8 acme screwcut on the lathe.

Oxtool in America auctioned his vice off as an apprentice prize and he has told me to his knowledge only a handful of these vices have been made. Anyhow check out his YouTube page it’s a great project and he is a very knowledgeable toolmaker..

And if your welding is no good you can get castings for a similar smaller vice from Morrison & Marvin, good build thread of it here. They also do a miniature Kurt if you fancy trying one of those too.

Very nice job on the vice! I thoroughly enjoy Tom's channel and have also downloaded the vice plans with a hope to build one some day

Definitely too good to risk damage by actually using it. Lacqueur and proudly display!
