      Dear All,

I wondering if some would be able to help me. I purchased a set of the Warco indexable lathe tools. (7 Piece set) See the link below.

      https://www.warco.co.uk/indexable-lathe-tools/303037-7-piece-indexable-tips.html

Warco do not have the replacement cutting tips in stock.

Does any one know where you get buy say a pack of 10 tips from a third party supplier that will fit the tools?

I've tried googling the numbers stated on each tool but it does not seem to correlate to the tool tips on websites which state CCMT, DCMT etc.

Is this due to Warco selling their owns tools and thus have their own tips?

I brought my lathe just before Christmas so I just trying to find my feet.

The tips I'm after are for the SWGCR 90' and STDCR 93' (see the link above)

      Thanks Steve

If you measure an unused / undamaged tip and give the details to Jenny Blackwell at JB Cutting Tools, she may well be able to supply what you want. And next time you will know the code for the tip that you require.

The Arc Euro Trade site shows the various types of tips that they can supply. Pages 42 and 43 of the hard copy Catalogue No 11 give dimensions of 80 degree and square tips, but not 55 degree tips so you may be able to find what you want from the dimensions of the tips that you have..

I seem to remember from previous posts there are rather hard to find inserts, you might try Amadeal as they do/did the same sets as do Shars in the US.

One of the previous posts with the insert codes here

The codes on the holders, strangely enough, are the codes for the holders.

In your search, you need phrase the query as 'insert for xxxxx tool'. The second letter of the holder code is generally the first letter of the insert code (but this is not true for the STDCR).

Five of the seven tools use standard inserts (of three different types – Cxxx, Sxxx and Wxxx). The threading and parting tools use a non-ISO insert but these are both currently shown as available from Warco.

I do not think you will not find this toolset among the Premier League ME suppliers, but if you have a scout around the other divisions (e.g. Chronos, RDG, Axminster, Chester, Armadeal) you might find that some of them are more forthcoming with info. than others.

                Please see also this thread:

                https://www.model-engineer.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=170078

but the RDG item mentioned therein seems to have disappeared from their site.
