        Hello

I have a Boxford C which needs a replacement bracket for the countershaft

Unfortunately it broke when stripping it down. If anyone has a spare they are willing to sell please let me know

        Part no. is 3656-484

        regards

        James

Hi James no replies from forum, have you thought of making a replacement. I don't know what material it is made from but as you have the broken original I would have thought it is possible to remake one.

You could try messaging Heritage Lathes on Ebay or one of the other lathe breakers on there. they don't list all their stock.

                Hi James

You could try a gentleman called Mark Lord. He advertises as simply lathes on ebay and has loads of parts for Boxfords. You should also be able to contact him on the Boxford owners site at BoxfordLathe Owners group

I assume when you say it broke that it is just in two pieces so why not repair it ( silver solder/ bronze weld) your comics are many, and if it’s only temporary put the lathe together and make a new one.

Thanks all for the help and advise

Heritage lathes don't have any spares at moment and waiting to hear from Simply lathes. I'll have a go at brazing it and see if that works

Making a new one is a little ambitious for me at moment. Still have my armband floats and L plates on, as I have not used a lathe since my apprenticeship days

                    regards

                    James
