I have a Rexon RDM 80B drilling m/c which needs investigation. The spindle has got some play and has started to make unhealthy sounds when starting a hole. i would like to strip the spindle down to check bearings but having had previous experience of tussling with tensator springs, in other equipment , I am reluctant to start the stripdown without some inside info.

Can anyone help?

How much time your Rexon RDM 80B drilling is old. if bearing problem use standard heavy duty bearing in your machine.

They are easy to get off and back on, but it's also very easy to tear a chunk out of your finger in the process. One solution is to wear gloves and tie a piece of wire around the hooked end of the spring. Then pull the hooked end out of its slot and slowly let off the tension while keeping hold of the wire.
