I've been trying to source some 3/32" c/s copper rivets but no one seems to stock them anymore.

It's not a huge problem, I can turn (not talking lathe work here) some snaphead ones into c/s but the lack of them at suppliers puzzled me.

Same with copper flat head armour rivets, also 3/32nd. I ended up turning brass ones.

Many thanks for the replies but I need 3/32" X 5/8" and I think I'll just set to and make some.

H, are you aware that your link is to a supplier located in the USA, my experience is that the products are usually reasonably priced but the carriage costs can be eye wateringly expensive in comparison, I speak from experience.

When I needed some csk rivets a while ago, I drilled a piece of MS flat using a shank sized drill, then countersunk the hole. Put a round head rivet in the hole, tap the head flat with a light hammer, and Bingo! you have a countersunk rivet. Works particularly well with copper rivets.

That's exactly what I intend to do Richard but thanks for sharing that.

You don’t even need a rivet, a piece of whatever type of material you are using put in to the countersunk hole can be hammered in using a ball pein hammer to close it into the hole.

The try squares I made 60 years ago and still use were made this way, no sign of the joint or rivets showing.
