Warco WM18 – Motor wire connections

I have just replaced the plastic gear on my WM18

However the milling head now rotates anti clockwise which I am sure is wrong, so assume I have reconnected the motor the wrong way round?

The motor has two wires, blue and brown and the feed wire to it is white and black.

Cansomeone check their machine please to see which wries connect to which ie is it blue to white or brown to white.

I would guess that the blue/brown are neutral/live in the UK AC colour scheme. In the US neutral is white and black is live.

If that's the case (and I'm only speculating, I'm not a sparky and I don't yet have a lathe) then connecting blue to white and brown to black would be correct.

Sorted, as its a DC motor just swapped them round
