      Hello,

In the last issue of MEW ( N° 299 December 2020) Terry Gorin describes some interesting die holder for the small UNIMAT SL 1000.

Few years ago few articles were published about improvements for this lathe but I cannot find them due to destuction of part of my collection of MEW .

Does somebody can remenber the issues n° in which they were published ?

As I have now time to return to my favourite hobby this seems a nice project to modify my UNIMAT sleeping on the shelf ….

Thank your for your help and keep safe in this strange period !

            Hi Pierre,
Some really good Unimat articles by Rex Tingley and others can be found in the Model Mechanics magazine. These include various bits of tooling, and even the complete build series for the "Sweet Sixteen" 16mmm to the foot traction engine built on the Unimat.

The good news is that the magazines are free to download from this website.

To do so, hover over FEATURES in the black toolbar near the top of the page, and then click on Magazine Reprints. You will find the list of Model Mechanics magazine ready to download at the bottom of the second page.

Thanks Clive, I didn't know I needed another project, but a small traction engine is tempting
