I have a Sieg C3 fitted with the standard 80mm chuck. Having used it for nearly twelve months, on 3 1/2 inch loco work and tooling, I now find I need a bigger chuck as I use the external jaws more and more. After looking around on the net I found that some have gone to 5 inch chucks. What is your experience?
Face plate is alright for a one off but but is a pain for repeats.
If I replace the chuck I would probably go for taper bearings, depends on weight. There is a mod on toolandmods were he fitted a larger spindle on a Bull.
