      I am installing new steel battery box for my car. What paint should I use to protect it ?

          Many years ago we used a black paint that was supposed to be semi acid proof so by now they are bound to have something in the auto market (Frost Restoration perhaps)

            With modern sealed batteries I would have thought there was a lot less need, it’s not like overfilling an old one and spilling the acid.

              Get it powder coated if you are running old acid slopper batteries. Modern AGM batteries don’t slop so any good quality machinery paint should do.
