I knocked the do-dad in the rear QCTP tool holder in this photo to allow use of 1" shank tools such as roller boxes on the Super 7, it's just a length of bar welded to a length of tube, with the bar milled square after welding for alignment, then a couple of holes drilled, tapped and with grub screws fitted.

With a 1" parallel OD MT2 sleeve it also allows me to use the tailstock turret that's been hanging behind the lathe for several years, I machined the turret holders 10mm bore to accept my ER11 and ER16 10mm shank collet chucks on 10mm shanks.

The whole thing is surprisingly rigid, I bored one of it's own holders with it to see if it would be up to boring and turning – it is, and with a DRO setting for each position I'm hoping this will speed up manufacture of some smaller components,

The nearest does both extractions and insertions

Interesting idea – I had to look hard to see what was going on in the photo.

How do you centre the holder?

The overhang of the TT seems rather large but I gather is not a problem in practice.

All the holes on the turret are bored using the turret's own locking positions so they all align the same relative to the taper – in theory.

Initially I just bored a 6mm hole in a bit of scrap and used a holder with a sliding fit pin in it and adjusted height (Y?) and X by eye and feel setting a DRO X for each turret position, so far I'm adopting a "Suck it and See" strategy
