In memoriam: Peter Neal

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday 11th January 2025 aged 88 years at Royal Derby Hospital.

Peter worked for over 37 years in Technical Design at Rolls Royce Derby patenting many designs particularly on the RB211 Trent. He went on to become Regional Chairman of The Engineering Council as well as a consultant for Rolls Royce in the years before retiring.

Beloved husband to Kath, much loved father, brother, grandfather and father-in-law. Peter will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

A keen model engineer he often visited Gratton’s in Derby. Peter held interests in all aspects of engineering especially clocks, having made several skeleton clocks himself.
