I don't mean just removing it from the drawing, I want to totally get rid of it so that when I <insert block> it doesn't come up in the list. Believe me I've tried!
Anyone got a clue. It's NanoCad, but seems very similar to Autocad LT
expunging a block
Try 'purge'.
