Hi all

I have just joined the site, hoping to learn more than I know ( which is not difficult )

I been a vehicle mechanic most of my life whilst in the forces and after, I have always had an interest in model engineering,

I have interests in O gauge military railways ( which I make I am a member of the Exeter o gauge group,

I also have an interest in old British tools ( Moore and wright eclipse etc ) which I use daily, these I use to maintain a few stationary engines (Lister, Bamford, J.a.p and bsa.

i also have several small lathes unimat sl and a compact 5 and a much larger Micron T 90 (it has to go) since joining the local men’s shed ( charity for men’s metal ). they have several metal working lathes a Clarke and a much larger Axminster ( which has an issue ) yet to be solved???
I also have been govern a couple of Stuart turner live steam engines.

I hope to learn and help if I can👍

Welcome Byron, I started with cars (1947 Vauxhall ) and have worked on many machines and vehicles since. It sounds as though you will find this a good place to be. Best wishes, Noel.

Which Men’s Shed are you going to? I hadn’t heard the Exeter one having metal facilities at it’s new location.
