A while back I posted some photos and description of my conversion of a Myford dividing head to use a Ward indexer. As a result of some interest I've posted a couple of extra photos of the raising block in my album.

This started life as a lump of what I think is "gauge plate", or at least quite a tough steel ground on the long faces that I picked up from a surplus tool stall. I milled the end faces square, drilled a centre hole for the mounting stud, and cut slots down the centre of each broad face for locating keys to match those on the DH itself and my mill table. You can see the latter in the first photo. Dimensions are 25.27 x 50.24 x 96 mm. It obviously started out as 2" x 1". It's longer than needed but it would have been too much effort to saw off!

And in response to a question from a member I have uploaded a jpg version of my drawing for the motor mounting plate with main dimensions.
