I wonder if anyone can help me, I have an Adcock and Shipley Bridgeport mill circa 1976, can anyone tell me how to adjust the mechanism which kicks out the drive when I am using power down feed.
The feed works o k in both down and up modes, but when I try to get it to stop on the knurled vertical screw, it just "ticks" and doesn't throw the lever outwards I notice these is a small mock allen screw underneath the shaft which bears on the rectangular bar which fits between the upper and lower pieces, has this any bearing on the "stop" function?
Further, on trying to engage back gear, there is an abominable noise, sounds like the dog clutch is not engaging properly, has anyone any ideas on how to fix this please?
You can contact me on keithrussell10 <at> yahoo.com
Many thanks in advance for your help, kind regards
