Anyone ID this tool?

I was at a garage sale late today and they were packing up, this was in the bin to be thrown out as no one had bought it.

Its fairly hefty, even with a 10x loupe I can't make out the makers name. I don't have the slightest idea what industry would have used pliers like these???

I think the problem is that Jim can see the photos because he's a member of the other forum – it all works for him. The rest of us need permission to view the photos, and we don't have it. It's a technical glitch. If Jim copies the photos to his album on this forum, everyone will see them. (This assumes the owner of the pictures is happy to open them up to the world.)

I may have seen something simillar being used to stretch material across a wooden frame prior to nailing it down.

Hi Jim, maybe they are for making DIY corrugated fasteners **LINK** seeing as the serrations mesh together, that's what they remind me of anyway.

P.S. Alan maybe on the right track, but I guess you would have someone else doing the nailing as they look like a two handed tool.

Sounds reasonable. It looks like whilst the lever is gripped with the hand the lower arm can apply pressure on the wooden handle?

I don't think the lower lever is hand operated ,I think that lever is compressed on the bench and the handle levered down to hold the work.Have not got a clue as to it's use.
