Like so many here I’m a gent of a certain age with time on my hands and enjoying getting deeper into what is a hobby for me.

I took up watchmaking which led me to use a watchmakers lathe, now a Myford S7 and a small asieg mill. My background was electrical and mechanical engineering so none of this has been a steep learning curve, but as expected there’s a whole world of new knowledge to aquire!

So, with that in mind please expect to be peppered with questions! 😁

Welcome. And pepper away! There are many on the forum willing to give guidance and/or advice. Some good, some bad. It’s sorting one from the other which is the fun part!

I have an idea that within the last few months someone else has also joined us with a watchmaking interest. It struck me as being so much smaller than clockmaking that I admire those who can venture into that sphere. Having read Daniels Watchmaking book I do sometimes wonder…….
