I’ve snapped a 1/16″ drill in a hole – any ideas if its possible to remove it?

Can you come in from the other side and punch it out ? Yes it can be got out but it depends on the trouble you want to go to. Is the part valuable ? Just start again ? Use a spark eroder ? Good luck. Noel.

Plasma cutter and a good aim. I blew out a broken 7ba tap with no damage to the thread with a 1 second burst. If the drill went on breakthrough grinding the ‘nearly’ hole on the reverse side will clear it.

A laser disintegrator or a minuscule C3 charge could also work.
