Just got my first lathe. A chester db8v. Isn't it huge decision to decide on the make and model.

It helps to remember that there is no such thing as the perfect lathe and you will not know the virtues and vices of the first until you have lived with it for a while.

Hi Kevin. Hope you enjoy your new to you steed. I have the Myford super 7. I have had a lot of flac on here from a very few who just love to belittle people. But I am doing pretty well with it as I am sure you will.

Enjoy the lathe Kevin, all lathes have good and bad points so just use it. I have never used a Myford but am in awe of what some achieve with them. It will be the same with your Chester. Pop up an approximate location to see if anyone local can help you.
