What do i need to hold these…I’m presuming they are die nuts that go in a special holder?

They are similar [but not identical] to some I had in a long holder that took several sizes at once.

Big thumbscrew at the end to adjust the one currently in use.

Sorry, no photo because I don’t have it now.

They look like American style dies. Google "little giant" taps and dies for an example

Complete adjustability with the added ease of restoring damaged threads.

The half dies were also made by Warrior. I posted this picture before in another thread.

This shows the holder and securing piece as well as 4 different dies with their respective sized guides

The ones i was given today are a set of metric pairs 5,6,7,8,9,11and 12mm. No 10mm sadly

theres a date on them 1944 with an arrow…is that a MOD mark?

i wonder how many metric threads were needed in the post war years and I’ve never needed 7,9 and 11mm threads

the die holder i pictured i have bought on eBay looks to be the same brand “easterbrook” so hopefully it will work
