Hi!. I am looking for a wiring diagram for a Warco BH 600 or Grizzly 9249. I am informed that a coloured and Numbered diagram is available for these Lathes. My problem is with the wiring in an Chester Chraftsman Lathe That has moved workshop. Now I cant get it to go????.

      Kind Regards. Bob

          Hi Bob,
I assume this is the same lathe that you are talking about in your other thread (Chester Craftsman lathe) Have you tried the connections that Martin gave you from his lathe ? I have looked at the Grizzly manual online and the wire numbering is different to the numbers you gave. Also the wires go directly to the push buttons and panel lamp not via a connector block. It is possible that Martins information is for the Warco version of the lathe and the wire numbering may be different again on that version. Does the control panel on your lathe look the same as the one shown in the Grizzly G9249 online manual ?
Bob, Ignore the above comments. I thought you were referring to the panel with the push buttons. (Control panel in the Grizzly manual) I think now you are referring to the spindle switch as the numbering matches that switch.

          Les.

Hi!. Les. yes you Have assumed right. I have put the wires in as Martin said. I used the colour of the wires not numbers. I now get the power light to light up. No power to the on off switch.I have searched for the wiring diagrams Martin said. I have tried model Engineer, Warco. Grizzly. lathes.co.uk and not come up with any info. Again I didnt come up with a pix of the other lathes to make a comparison.Do I detect that you know where these drawings live. If so please point me in the right direction.

              Hi Bob,
All I did was to Google "Grizzley G9249 manual" This is the link where I found the manual.

              Les.

If it is still not powering up check all the interlock switches. This often seems to be the problem from other posts from people who have moved a lathe or bought a used one. It might be an idea to get some 24v lamps and wire them across each interlock switch so it would show you any one that was open.

hi!. Out there Friends Many thanks all round. You were all right to a certian degree. The blighter is up and running. The Manual for the Grizzly 9249 is wonderful to follow. The wires by colour in the on off switch were right. The numbers and colours do vary.I have found three wires off in the control box. I have not played in there at all??? So with the aid available out there, dont give up keep ploring on. It will all come roght in the end.

                      Many thanks to you all

                      A very happy Bob.

                      Case slosed.
