Merthyr M.E. is the only one anywhere near you ,not many people in " Mid Wales" I guess the sheep aren't too interested!!

Jamie,

Mid Wales Model Engineering Society – 'http://midwalesmes.org.uk' – have a track site in the park off Back Lane, Newtown. I don't know of any other ME societies in the mid Wales area or any other groups as such; otherwise Oswestry/Shrewsbury/North Wales are the only others I'm aware of in striking distance.

I am in Knighton (the Powys one) – but I do not regard myself as a Model Engineer as such. More an enthusiast for engineering and a vintage car owner who needs to make spares etc. So, Myford and 20V mill, and a lot of files.

I've been lurking for some time in the forum; just a beginner home machinist rather than model maker. Currently setting up a wee workshop between Newtown and Welshpool.
