Kit of parts for Boxford Lathe on auction site. Buyer beware, could be bits missing – didn't see a lead screw in the kit. Looks like some one had it away piece by piece ?? I wouldn't go overboard with the price though

          Overpriced.

Judging by the state of one gear with several missing teeth it has likely had a hard life. Submarine or Chinese junk?

QC gearbox alone would be enough to keep the buyer afloat.

Did Grandad bring it home from the shipyard one piece at a time in his lunchbox, I wonder?

Someone thought it a worthwhile purchase. One single bidder.

Two headstocks , spindles, pulley cones. Could be missing the motor Mount. Ot it’s top left. Different from the ones I kno

Couldn't spot a gearbox amongst that lot, but I guess the parts are useful if you need them. I think they are for an underdrive model (mostly).

It seems a very early machine where the belt is tensioned differently from later bench models. The adjuster is positioned in front of, and below, the headstock. There's a hole visible in the LH foot for it to pass through to the rear of the lathe.

Doh! blush Looks like it is actually a headstock. Brainfade. Not such a screaming deal after all perhaps.
