Hi all

I sent this message to "MyHobbyStore" on the 21st March 2017

Hi customer services .I am still waiting for your your reply to my request regarding the drawing plans for "Versatile Dividing Head Plan WE20 " for sale"

(My request is:- Does the plans include the main body of the dividing head as well as the indexing plate, worm and dividing forks. )

I keep getting the following replys :- (Three already.)

Can anyone advise me if the plan WE20 is in fact the complete plan of:- G . Thomas Dividing head< As I would like to build it .I have all castings

May I suggest you source a copy of G.H. Thomas's book Workshop Techniques.

If I were you I would purchase George Thomas' book Workshop Techniques which covers the VDH and the pillar tool and the Myford Headstock dividing head in drawings and words. It's a very informative read even if you don't build any of the items. I built my first VDH just from drawings when I was just starting out and came across the book later. I have just remade a number of items on the VDH just because I was not perfectly happy with them (they worked fine).

Hi Brian and Martin.

I am aware of G.H. Thomas's book Workshop Techniques. at £30 . I only want the universal dividing head . Hence my efforts to obtain a drawing only at £12.50. Most of the tooling work and fixtures listed in the book I have made many years ago including my own design of a dividing head .The dividing head designed by G.H. Thomas' is very small and would lend its self very well to my "Chester conquest milling machine"
