Centec 2A MkIII Head Quill return spring

Have just acquired a Centec 2A in quite good condition. However on dismantling the spindle/quill, the return spring is missing.

Does any kind person have the spec for said spring? I have tried one that fits, but it does not seem strong enough to return the quill.

There are three versions of the VH. What version do you have?

Doh! It was in the title.

The one in my Mk3 is 4" long uncompressed, has 7 coils of 0.116" wire with an OD of 1.6" and ID of 1.35".

As near as I can make out, a 28lb weight compresses it down to 2".

Is that what you wanted?
