I am looking for ideas on how to shift a recalcitrant watch strap retaining pin from my Casio Type F-91W Casio digital wrist watch, all attempts at using the recommended paper clip suggestions having failed. The watch is of no great value but I have begun to see it as an engineering challenge. The problem of course is finding the best way of holding back on the body of the watch without posing a danger of doing oneself an injury. All likely suggestions of how to proceed  most welcomed.

IF it’s the original pin then I’m not sure how you do it with a paper clip. The pin is a sprung loaded pin that telescopes to shorten and then comes out. Getting it back is easy – and obvious when you see it. The pin has a small diameter at the end and a small flat blade screwdriver in the ridge where it gets bigger will close it. this is usually hidden by the strap.

The pin press is for removing bracelet pins so little help I fear.  Good Luck. Noel.

The pin only comes out one way. There are tools for holding watch cases.

The casio watch strap pins are solid in holes which are though to the outside so the pin press will work
