A bit of an odd request.
Would an SC4 owner be kind enough to tell me the distance between the T slots on the top of the carriage, and the approximate stack height from the top of the carriage to the top of the compound slide.

I just need to get an idea of the size of the chunk of iron required to replace the compound slide.

        Many thanks

A 'Gibraltar' base for the toolpost?

Slots are 76mm between centres (could be intended to be 3" but I measured 76.1).

          Stack height is 42.74mm

Threading for the standard toolpost is, from memory, M12

Thank a lot for that Neil.

Hopefully it should be similar to Stefan Gotteswinter's creation.
