LIDL have a budget plunge saw on offer at the moment. They say it will cut ceramic, copper and aluminium. My question is – has anyone here got one of these and have you tried cutting sheet brass with it? My reason for asking is that I have a quantity of brass ex door kick plates 1.5mm thick and I am looking for a quick way of chopping them up because they are to thick for my nibbler. Thanks.

Rik That's a powerful little circular saw. Just make sure you fit a blade with with a finer pitch than the 1.5mm plate thickness, otherwise you will end up wearing it
