got this mill last weekend came with some raw material see photos taken me all week to sort it loads of brass copper mild steel silver steel gauge pate etc had to rearrange workshop to get mill in now all up and working over the moon with it will be useful for slotting paid £400 got that in the materials and other bits

thats a very handy looking bench mill – never seen one that size before (I now want one!). Reversing gear on the motor looks nice and sturdy unlike most I come across, not sure about the ali flywheel though. Bit light?

the mill I think is about 1940s ajax aj8 made in halifax

drawing for the engine were a free download all in French been a challenge

Hi Geoff,

Looks like the previous owner was doing a lot of valve seat work judging from the seat cutters in the tool box.

the plans for engine are free if you search( steam engine plans for everything )its the second to last one.

I have a cnc mill the eccentric was milled from round bar with a tee slot cutter then cut off the bar and faced

started to make a brass flywheel out of the stock acquired with the mill not a problem still got the programmes
