So far it looks like what I have tried in the "new look" works Ok. Will probably take some time before I get used to the new format and find my way around.

Clk on piccy of latest MEW (no.208) @ top + up comes big pic of it. BUT! line 1 in green lettering reads issue 207. Line 2 in much smaller black lettering says in shop issue 208. Line 3 reads it is on sale now. How confusing. I have got both on subs. I still think it all reads a bit odd. It would appear to be OK if the green lettering was altered so that "207" was up-dated to "208"

Like most people I don't like change but this one seems to grow on you, not as bad as i thought it would be and I reckon it will easily grow on you.

Now if you want change try some of the Yahoo sites – now that's a cock up.

Doesn't work too well for me in Firefox. I have a whole bunch of text overprinting other text … particularly on the home page in the personal area (now on the right) and over on the left in the current articles pane. Using IE (yuk!) clears up the personal area but not the other side.

Also, I can't find out how to access the Digital Archive. If I use the "Archive" selection on the menu bar all I get is a subscription page but not actual access to my (current) subscription.

Now here's an interesting thing. Remember the recent extreme price increases for the digital archive that were the subject of so much recrimination in the forums? The prices I see on this subscription page have reverted to the original (£29.99) price ….. as at 1:22 EDT – whatever that is in BST (I'm sure one of the usual culprits will "impress" us).

Ziggar, I have looked at your account to see what the problem is, and found that your expiry date has not been reached, but your subscription has a status of 'deleted'. I will have to speak to the subscription company tomorrow to find out why this is.

modeng2000, Please can you try clearing your cache, I am using the same version of Firefox as you, and I can see the top bar. If that doesn't work, please can you send a screenshot and OS and browser details to me at katy.purvis@mytimemedia.com

Hi, it certanly looks different. I personally prefer blue links that you haven't clicked on already. Shame there is only 5 latest posts instead of 10 in the latests forum posts on the home page, also a shame the latest picture thumnails are not on the home page, so that you can see if there are any new ones without going into the albums.

I do think it looks crisper though and I guess given a little time the old style will be forgotten.

I presume (hope) you are following this thread, I think the comments so far are mainly favourable and I hope the you are able to attend to the various small items that have been mentioned.

Apart from my question earlier (about 'My Friends&#39 I now have noticed something else that seems to have stopped working.

I replied to this thread earlier with the notification box ticked, I also later clicked the 'send me emails..' box, but I have not recieved any alerts by email.

Does anyone else see this problem?

Change for the sake of change! without actually addressing and of the long standing issues with basic functionality.

Cluttered, clumsy, unweildy, homepage overburdened with unnecessary images, too much whitespace wasting valuable screen real-estate.

JohnS's comments re Yahoo groups are appropriate – now they really are awful.

I don't find this site too bad and my only real criticism is the reduced number of " Latest Posts" shown. If you could restore that to its previous size then I think I could live with ( though maybe not love!) the rearrangements.
