Hi, I need to profile cut out a 100mm disc out of 3mm thick engraving brass on a small cnc machine, I have used cambam to design the disc and use mach3 for machine control, my question is that when I run the program its making too many cuts to get through the stock, I am using a 3mm 2 flute mill cutter, considering that the thickness is only 3mm thick would it be safe and ok to just take 3 cuts to go through to the target depth of 3.75mm, I am new to all this so any advice on feeds and speeds and types of milling cutters best for this would be welcome.
